The Cornice

Du port à la plage d'Aïn Diab

For family and sports practicing by day, connected by night, the cornice of Casablanca is the sensitive centre of the city entertainment activity.

From the port to Aïn Diab’s beach

To recognize the dimension of seaside Casablanca, it is from the port that you have to start on a cruise in taxi. Overtake the current project of tourist marina in front of the ramparts of the sqala, and then slip on the tunnel under the Big Mosque Hassan II. Go straight towards El Hanq cap topped by its lighthouse that started in 1920 and keeps alive the marine memory of the city. Then continue through the Lido beach until the seawater therapy center “Paradise Club” and Megarama, a recent multiplex cinema theatre where the actual cornice begins.

The Cornice

With its terraces and seawater swimming pools that have the 50s look and bear mythic names – Tahiti, Miami, Tropicana, Sun Beach...-, the cornice is the preferred promenade of Casablanca inhabitants and the training field for joggers, before making space for the elegant and dandies looking for fun in the terraces of ice cream salons and then in the multiple pubs of the area.

Ain Diab’s beach

Magnificent with its 5 km long up to the rock topped by Sidi Abderrahmane’s mausoleum, this beach offers to all Casablanca inhabitants a free relaxation space, beautiful waves and 300 sunny days per year.
All the sea lovers, surfers, fishermen or simple lovers of swimming and suntan meet as well as football fanatics that play hot matches.

Casa by night

Open, cosmopolitan, Casablanca is a city where we know how to have fun, with good humor and a bit of blazing fantasy. The white nights of the cornice should be discovered in the many clubs, piano bars and hectic discotheques where the most famous international DJs come to play.
Some kilometers far, along Dar Bouazza’s beach, sometimes private beaches are transformed into giant “rave parties” in summer nights.
